I just received a call from 800-411-5166. Robo-call asked if I wanted to get my discount for DirectTv. I don’t use DirecTV. Still, I said yes. It then asked for my DirecTV PIN. Great. Now the billing phone number. Super. Click. Beware folks.
I just got a call from “Jake” at AT&T DirectTV. Jake is obviously from another country. He said they just pushed a new update the TV boxes. [I don’t use DirectTV, but didn’t tell him] Jake: “are you watching TV?” Me: no Jake: “will you turn on your TV?” Me: sure [not still sitting at Read More
Yep, they’ve started again. This year it is a robotic voice from “Agent Lauren” something. You are told to call 202-241-7512. That’s also the caller ID from which they call. I called back to have some fun. Busy first. Rang a while then answer. I must not have sounded believable as they hung up. I Read More
Just received a scam IRS call. The Caller ID is New Windsor, MD 410-635-5824. It is a robo call. It is NOT trying to hide the fact that it is an automated call. The IRS does NOT call you. They send a letter. Do not fall for this scam.
I just received a call from 404-996-5610 stating I was a winner from a surprise entry into the lottery. This entry was due to my shopping at Wal-Mart. I was able to record the call and unfortunately, didn’t string the caller along long enough. https://emailscamalert.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Lottery-call.wav
These clowns have called before and that scam post is here. The number from which they called is 876-527-3430. They aren’t bright. They aren’t really polite. They want money from you, period. I didn’t have any patience this time. In short, there is no second place in Publisher’s Clearing House.
First let me be clear, Publisher’s Clearing House was not who called me, but someone claiming to be PCH. They/he called my cell. Foreign accent. Told me I won second place worth $850,000. I told him I hadn’t entered. He said, “Do you shop at Walmart or Walgreen’s or Dollar General?” Yes, I do. “Do Read More
Hey, this just happened again… I just happened to answer our home phone. This call was from a “Microsoft partner” and they received information from a “centralized server that my computer had critical errors”. I had just received another scam call, so didn’t have much patience. I told them I use a Mac. This didn’t Read More
I just happened to be at my home this morning…and I just happened to answer our home phone. Yep, we still have one, but it doesn’t ring much. This call was from a “Microsoft partner” and they received information from a “centralized server that my computer had critical errors”. Well, normally I’d tell them they Read More
This clown picked the wrong woman to call. He called my wife and was apparently a jerk to here (believe me, that doesn’t help). He says he’s with the IRS. He says we owed $2800. He knew enough (our home address, my name) to rattle her at first. He says if a money order isn’t Read More
