in Phone Scams by Scam Alert Editor

Hey, this just happened again…

I just happened to answer our home phone.
This call was from a “Microsoft partner” and they received information from a “centralized server that my computer had critical errors”.

I had just received another scam call, so didn’t have much patience.

I told them I use a Mac.

This didn’t deter them wanting me to go to their website.

At this point I told him I knew it was a scam and I wished they’d quite calling people.

They told me where I could put my wish.

Do NOT fall for this.

There is NO centralized server that then has somebody call you when there is an error on your computer.

It is a scam.
