So I went to Pinterest.com today…well, not exactly I accidentally dropped the “i”.

What came next was a real pin in the butt.

First, a quick redirect to www.call-computer-help.com

calll computer help scam-2

And yes, they then attempt to put you in a panic.

Next comes the pop-up:

call-computer-help-scam-1

Good and official looking.  Normally you can click the “X” and close this windows, but they have a script running that brings this window up again.  This is a real pain, also clicking OK does nothing.

Yes, they want to you call that phone number.

I had to crtl-alt-del to close the browser – again, a real pain.

They also show this window meant to further scare you:

call-computer-help-scam-3

I like how the point out at the bottom that this is just an ad.

Anyhow, this does no harm, no need to call anyone…just a real pain.
